This Robots of the 80’s music video for the song ‘I want to be’ (2023) shows the inner conflict of a humanoid robot, trying to comprehend its nature of existence, distancing itself from humanity to become something different. This conflict and journey of discovery are shown through the robot’s dance choreography in a music factory that dances along. Throughout the choreography, the video references various artists, works of art and similar: Kraftwerk, Charlie Chaplin, Michael Jackson, Salvador Dali, Forbidden Planet (Fred M. Wilcox, 1956), Crazy Frog, Ghost in the Shell (Mamoru Oshii, 1995), Pixar studios & more. All models and images used for the video are original. Main Character (robot) design by Dr. Chao Wang. Song: ‘I want to be’ by Robots of the 80’s.
